Names, profiles, quiz history, notes, journal entries and unfinished answers stay in this browser. My cats can export and restore a JSON backup of profiles, completed observations and notes; unfinished quiz progress is not included. Imports are processed in your browser. Notes and file contents are not sent to analytics or the community database. Clearing site data removes local records. You can remove profiles and journal entries individually. There are no accounts or cloud profile sync.

The preparation checklist also stays in this browser and is separate from profile backups. Care handover cards, including the contacts you enter, stay with each local cat profile and are included in JSON backups. Care PDFs are created on your device from the saved instructions. Checklist progress and care-card text are not sent to analytics or the community database.

Community statistics & visits

On completion, the site submits your 16 answers, chosen appearance, interface language, scores and completion time to its database under a random record ID. The cat’s name and local profile ID are not included. Aggregate statistics can include repeat quizzes. The production site also uses Google Analytics for visits and feature usage, which may process device and cookie identifiers. Result answer and profile parameters are omitted from the configured analytics page URL.

What a shared link contains

Result links contain answers (or scores for older results) and the selected appearance. Observation invitations also contain the first observer’s answers. Anyone with the link can read this information. Public share links omit the local cat ID and name; downloaded cards include the name you enter. Hosting infrastructure processes requests and may keep operational logs. This page does not promise a fixed retention period.
