A home that fits
Leave room beside you on the sofa, because that is where it rests after a day of following along. Keep the toys where you can both reach them and play at about the same time each day; it will come to remind you.
Whatever the type, every cat needs food, water, a litter box, safe rest and play within easy reach. Adjust the home to this cat and to the cats already living there; a type cannot decide whether cats should live together.

- Pause during gentle contact and let your cat choose whether to continue.
- Keep everyday care predictable and make necessary changes gradually.
What the type does not tell you
Easy to misread
Following you from room to room and turning up at playtime can be read as a cat that cannot be alone. It is choosing your company and a routine it enjoys. Sitting close is its preference, and it still gets up and leaves when it has had enough.
When it is not about personality
It usually comes to find you when playtime is due. If it stops coming, watches the toy without chasing it, or no longer jumps for the wand, that is a change in its willingness to play and move. Do not coax it into exercise; have new stiffness or reluctance checked.
A change from this cat’s usual pattern is a reason to check the body first. Note what changed and when it started, and ask your veterinarian instead of putting it down to the type.
