Greeting whoever happens to be home can make it look as if it has no favorite person. It likes having people around and shows it the same way to everyone: a rub, then a roll onto its side. Rolling over is part of the greeting; let it decide whether it also wants to be touched.
When it is not about personality
This cat greets everyone and plays at any hour, which can hide a sore mouth. Eating normally does not exclude a dental problem. Bad breath, drooling or a different way of eating are reasons for a mouth examination, even when it is as cheerful as ever.
A change from this cat’s usual pattern is a reason to check the body first. Note what changed and when it started, and ask your veterinarian instead of putting it down to the type.
